| T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. (“T. W. Phillips”)
is an integrated intrastate natural gas public utility operating under the
jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (the “PUC”).
T. W. Phillips has served customers in southwestern Pennsylvania since 1896, and
its history extends to the earliest days of the natural gas industry in the
United States. As an integrated gas utility, T. W. Phillips is engaged in the
production, purchase, transmission, and distribution of natural gas to the
public in various communities in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria,
Clarion, Clearfield, Indiana, Jefferson, and Westmoreland Counties,
Pennsylvania.
As of June 30, 2005, T. W. Phillips served approximately 61,700 customers, of
which 57,300 were residential, 4,400 were small commercial and industrial, 20
were large volume industrial, cogeneration, and wholesale, and 7 were other
natural gas utilities.
