Landlord
Protection
The Landlord Protection Plan is a service offered
by T.W. Phillips to all landlords with rental
properties in T.W. Phillips’ service territory where
tenants are responsible for the gas bill.
Under the Landlord Protection Plan, if a tenant
moves out of a rental property and a new tenant does
not immediately assume responsibility for gas
service, T.W. Phillips will not shut off the gas
service. Instead, we will transfer that service to the
landlord/owner of the property. We will not transfer
any account balance, only the responsibility for gas
service after the effective date of the transfer. The
landlord/owner is given prompt written notice of the
rental property for which gas service will be
transferred and the effective date of the transfer.
