Programs that can help lower your heating bills:
- Energy Help Fund
- a T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. program to help low income residential customers
obtain a discounted monthly budget plan.
- Dollar Energy Fund
- this Hardship Fund may be able to provide a grant to assist residential customers
who may need to have service restored or to prevent a termination. Customers
must meet all application guidelines. When you donate to Dollar Energy Fund
to help others, T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. matches your donation dollar for
dollar!! Donate as little as one dollar a month to help your neighbors stay
warm this winter. Dollar Energy Fund is usually open October through March
but dates change annually.
- LIHEAP - a federally funded plan that provides Energy Assistance and CRISIS (energy emergencies)
grants to individuals or households who qualify. Opening and closing dates
are generally announced each September.
- Weatherization (LIURP)
- a T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. program to help those who qualify to reduce gas
usage and gas bills. A weatherization audit is completed to determine where
your home may be losing heat or what improvements can be made. Qualified homes
may receive the installation of weatherization measures.
- Customer Assistance and Referral Evaluation Services (CARES)
- our T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. CARES representative works with and provides
referrals for customers who have difficulty paying their gas bill but who also face
other serious financial and/or other temporary hardships.

- GasCheck - never write checks again! This is a free service that automatically withdraws
funds from your bank account to pay T. W. Phillips by electronic funds transfer.
- On-Line Bill Payment - visit our
Payment Center. - this service is free. You will need
the Account Number and Service ID number from the top left corner of your bill along
with your bank routing and account numbers.
- Automated Phone Payments by direct check - dial 1-866-251-0530
to pay using the automated voice response system - (no fee applies). Make
a payment when it is convenient for you at any time of the day or night. You
will need the Account number and Service ID number from the top left corner of your
bill along with your bank routing and account numbers.
- Gift Certificates - give the gift of warmth by giving a gift certificate to a friend or relative who
is struggling to keep warm.
- Senior Citizen Appreciation Program
- If you are at least 62 years old and permanently retired or permanently disabled,
you may qualify to avoid late charges until after you receive your Social Security
or Pension check, to extend the due date if you're in the hospital for five days
or more, or to have a third party notified if you have any past due balances.
- Budget Payment Program
- spread out the payments for your gas service evenly over 12 months. The
budget payment amount is based on the cost of gas, weather conditions, and your
actual gas usage.
- Automated Call Center Program
- dial 1-888-GAS-SEEK (1-888-427-7335) to choose an option either to make an account
inquiry (current balance, date of last bill, date of last payment, estimated budget
amount), to input your meter reading, or to enroll in our meter read program - it's
quick and easy!
- Third Party Notification for Residential Customers -
T. W. Phillips offers a Third Party Notification Service to Residential customers
to contact a "third party" person (anyone you choose) if your gas service is under
threat of termination. If T. W. Phillips ever has to notify you of possible
termination, we will also contact the third party who can take action for you to
keep your gas service on if you cannot respond to the termination notice.
The third party is not responsible for paying your bill.
