Building a new home or business?

The first step is to call our Customer Service Office at 1-800-222-5101 to find out if T. W. Phillips is able to supply gas to your new location. Although we may have lines in the area, it is never safe to assume that gas is available.  Call us FIRST and avoid unnecessary delays and costs.

New Connection Rules
1. Call our Customer Service Office to find out if we can supply your gas service needs. If so, you will be given an application for service to be completed and returned.
2. When your application has been approved, a T.W. Phillips representative will tell you where the gas meter should be installed and where your gas service line should be located. It is then your responsibility to have your service line installed. You will be given standard specifications that must be followed in installing your gas service line.
3. When your service line has been installed, but before the ditch has been backfilled, a T.W. Phillips representative must be present to inspect and witness a pressure test on the line. After passing inspection and testing requirements, T.W. Phillips will schedule your service line to be connected to its gas distribution system. There is no connection or “tap in” fee for T.W. Phillips’ customers.
4. Depending upon weather conditions and other factors, T.W. Phillips will try to have your service line connected within two weeks. Someone should be home who can light your gas appliances when you are connected. Otherwise, a lock will be placed on your meter. When someone is available who can light your gas appliances, call T.W. Phillips to have the lock removed so that gas service can begin.
